Every 19 minutes, 1 person is faced with a situation that requires organ transplantation (illness / accident) in our country.
Transplantation from living donors (living to living) only kidney and liver, other organs; heart, lung, small intestine, pancreas and cornea are made from donors (cadaveric) with brain death.

One person gives life to 8 people by donating their organs, while the same donor gives hope to 50 people with tissues. (US Department of Health and Human Services)
Only 500 cadavers are donated on average per year in our country! And not every organ is suitable for transplant. (Organ damage, infection, etc.) Every 3 hours 1 person in Turkey, eight people a day are dying while waiting for organs!

A total of 30,000 people, including 2,000 children, are actively waiting for organs!

The number of donors whose brain deaths are found to be suitable for transplantation in the ICU is approximately 1,250 people per year. Only 40% of them donate their organs. The ratio of cadaveric organ donors to our population corresponds to 7 in 1 million people!

An individual over the age of 18 is considered an organ donor if he does not declare that he is not an organ donor in his health.
